2 Factor Authentication (2FA) helps to keep your account to be more secured. You will need an app and device for this process.
To enable/disable 2FA, simply go to your profile page (https://www.yellow.com/profile) from your menu.
On the profile page, you can simply click on the toggle button next to the 2FA label. Then, you will see 2FA set up. The common application that can store the 2FA and generate 6-digits code for you to use is Google Authenticator. The 6-digits code will change every 30 seconds to ensure your high security.
From the popup, you will see a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) key that you can copy. This key should be stored in a secure location and never shared publicly to anyone. You could write down this code to recover your 2FA or to re-install the key in another device. If you lose this key, you will need to contact support and pass the identification process in order to reset your 2FA.
To finish enabling your 2FA.
- Install the application to generate 6-digits code and store your key. Note: Google authentication will save you keys but you will not be able to see the secret key that you put after you save. It will only allow you to see the 6-digits code. Therefore, you should consider writing down the secret code in a secure place.
- Use your application to scan the QR code. You can also add the code manually using a secret key that is shown on the MFA field.
- Enter 2FA which is a 6-digits code that is generated by the application.
To disable 2FA, you will need to put the 6-digits code from the authenticator application. If you lose your 2FA code, please contact support. Staff may ask for your information and documents to determine if you are the owner of the account.
After you enable the 2FA feature, when you login to the account, the 2FA window will show to ask for 6-digit numbers. The 2FA should be disabled after you successfully fill the correct 2FA.
